\nThe Basque country is also famous for its piments d\u2019Espelette, a local variety of chili peppers from the village of Espelette, cultivated from long ago up to the present and hung in garlands outside the typical Basque houses.

Don\u2019t forget the mountain of La Rhune, on the frontier with Spain; its little mountain train takes you to the top of that emblem of the Basque country, to gaze upon the ocean, the Landes forest, the Basque Pyrenees and the valley of Bidassoa.
